If you followed the Prince of Persia video game series, and are eager to get the first glimpse of the poster for the upcoming film, you will have to do it at the cinema! The poster for Jerry Bruckheimer’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be premiered in another one of Bruckheimer’s upcoming movies. What film you ask? Surely another film related in some way, maybe a sweeping adventure? Sorry gamers if you want the first glimpse of the POP movie poster you will be doing it at the chick flick, “Confession’s of a Shopaholic.”
The poster is said to premiere half way through the film in a shot of time square in New York City, with Jake Gyllenhaal in full costume as the prince. “Confessions of a Shopaholic” is the latest film from Bruckheimer, and it is a romantic comedy about something totally irrelevant I am sure!
Dropping advertisements for movies in other movies isn’t anything new, in fact it has been around for awhile now. In “I Am Legend” starring Will Smith there was the infamous advertisement for the Batman Vs. Superman movie in a scene of time square.
I am still wondering why the heck Bruckheimer wanted to put the poster into a romantic comedy, instead of a related film, but I can understand the marketing scheme behind it. After all “Confessions of a Shopaholic” was produced by Bruckheimer as well and maybe this news of the POP poster premiering in the film will boost ticket sells? Who Knows?
If you are dead set on getting the first glimpse of this poster word of advice bring your girlfriend as an excuse so you don’t bruise your ego too badly.
