Today Google announced that they will be making another major acquisition. The company that Google plans to purchase is Teracent, which is a San Mateo, California startup. Teracent specializes in technology that can Tweak ads quickly in real-time.
“We think that this technology has great potential to improve display advertising on the web.”
According to Google, Teracent uses an algorithm that can choose from thousands of creative elements for ads automatically in real-time. It can pull creative material for an ad in almost any category imaginable and all instantly.
Google has been working to better their advertising and they have stated that “We’re looking forward to welcoming the Teracent team to Google and to making this technology available to our display advertising clients.”
Google has said that the deal is still subject to closing conditions but they expect to close it this quarter.
