Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 designer promises dedicated servers for multiplayer PC gamers

Activision, distributor of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, has promised that PC gamers hoping for an enjoyable multiplayer experience will have nothing to worry about when they get a chance to play the game. According to IGN, this is in response to previous complaints regarding the PC multiplayer capabilities of the last installment in the Modern Warfare series.

The news source reported that in addition to this measure, Activision is looking to promote the upcoming title, which is already hotly anticipated among gamers, as thoroughly as possible. One of the major promotions is Activision’s development of a new social network for dedicated Call of Duty players, entitled Call of Duty Elite.

Through this new online community, Activision will hold official contests where numerous prizes will be up for grabs. The budget for these proposed prizes is in the millions, according to the news source.

However, these contests will be more exposed to cheaters and hackers in their PC versions, leading Activision to pledge that it won’t release the game until solutions to possible intrusions are enacted.

According to IFC, another Modern Warfare 3 promotion will involve acclaimed film director Ridley Scott helming video content to be shown on the Call of Duty Elite network.
