This morning it was announced that President Obama has joined the Foursquare bandwagon. With the election coming up this fall, this is a potential way to engage who is left of his followers.
The White House has already made use of other various social media, with the White House Twitter account and blog.
So what is one to think of the President on our beloved Foursquare? In the last Gallup tracking poll, Obama’s ratings were at an all time low. Is this a wakeup call for Mr. President that he must act quickly to save his administration? With other candidates in the running and 39% approval rating, time is running out. He could use just about anything to boost his likings to help him come the 2012 election.
So for anyone interested in seeing where the President checks in can now do so, as he continues on his rural Midwestern tour visiting various small, rural towns to discuss economic growth.
His next stop: Iowa. Will being able to track President Obama’s footsteps boost his overall approval, or is joining Foursquare a lost cause for the administration?
