Instagram announced last night that the latest Instagrammer to join the photo-sharing / filtering network was in fact the Prez himself:
“We’re excited to welcome President Obama to Instagram! We look forward to seeing how President Obama uses Instagram to give folks a visual sense of what happens in the everyday life of the President of the United States. In addition to sharing photos through the @barackobama Instagram account, the Obama 2012 staff is asking supporters to share their photos from the campaign trail with the tag #obama2012.”
This gives Americans a chance to see behind the scenes footage of this year’s candidates and also keep people in the know with various political issues, much like candidates are hopping on the Google+ bandwagon.
This will be the 6th social network Obama is a part of, as he’s already on Google+, Foursquare, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and now, Instagram.
Luckily, he has a dedicated staff helping him keep up with his social medias, as being a part of 6 must get tiring.
