Kindle breaks November sales record

Amazon Kindle E-readerIn a press release Amazon announced today that the Kindle e-reader has had its best month of sales since its release. Sadly Amazon has not provided any figures along with this statement, so for now we will just have to take their word for it.

According to Amazon the Kindle is the most wished for, most gifted, and best selling product on their site. That is an impressive statement despite the fact that the e-reader has faced stiff competition from the likes of the Barnes & Noble Nook and other e-readers. Ian Freed, Vice President, Amazon Kindle stated “Kindle is a great gift for anyone who loves to read and it’s flying off the shelves faster than any other product Amazon sells.”

This announcement may be an attempt to better fend off other e-reader competition, and although it is an impressive achievement, it is a bit premature. As soon as we hear from Amazon on those figures we will update you
